can apply similar logic to the idea of "good attendance." The following
chart shows a curve that might be used to define good attendance: ![]() Here the idea of "good attendance" is expressed in terms of a decending S shaped curve ranging from 0 to 13. However, an alpha cut has been applied to the fuzzy set so that any one who has a membership of 0.1 or less is considered to have a membership of 0. What this in effect does, is establish a sharp cutoff point at 10 absences without affecting the continuity of our concept of "good attendance". for.
