Sonalysts, Inc. Releases Fuzzy Query

WATERFORD, CT (June 1998) -- Sonalysts, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of Fuzzy Query. The Waterford, CT company has developed this standalone desktop program to allow users to conduct database queries using the semantic power and flexibility of fuzzy logic. Fuzzy Query is a 32-bit MS Windows (Win95, WinNT) application that can be used in conjunction with virtually any ODBC-compliant DBMS.

Fuzzy Query includes a detailed tutorial prepared by Mr. Earl Cox of Metus Systems, author of Fuzzy Systems Handbook, Fuzzy Logic for Business and Industry, and the soon to be released Fuzzy Systems Handbook, 2nd Edition. The tutorial provides a description of fuzzy logic and its use in database queries, and the Help function provides step-by-step examples of constructing fuzzy queries.

Finally, Fuzzy Query can be used as a traditional SQL-based query tool by simply constructing query statements that do not include any fuzzy terms. In fact, with its drag and drop, point and click graphical user interface, Fuzzy Query is one of the most user friendly and intuitive database query products on the marketplace today.
